Pack-Kid Tricks

Pack-Kid Tricks is a series of packet tricks created specifically for children audiences by David Kaye (a.k.a. Silly Billy), the nation’s leading children’s magician.

Let’s face it. Performing card tricks for kids can be a frustrating experience. Kids don’t know a spade from a club. They don’t care if you pulled a royal flush. They get bored easily. And they grab your cards!

That is why we created Pack-Kid Tricks. You may not know how to perform magic for children, but David Kaye does. He has spent his life studying kids magic. David took classic packet tricks as a starting off point. He replaced the playing card faces with cartoon drawings. Next he created a plot with a storyline that mirrors the lives and experiences of children. Then he wrote patter based on the unique sense of humor of kids. And finally he performed these tricks for thousands of kids until every complaint they had was eliminated.

"You have never seen children react to card tricks like this before!"

# 1 Piece of Cake - $15

You display four cards, three have pictures of a normal sized piece of cake. The fourth has a tiny sliver of a piece. Tell the kids how your big sister used to deliberately cut you pieces of cake that were too small. You openly get the sliver piece and a spectator playing the part of your sister holds a card with a full sized piece. You explain that you want to switch plates with your sister, so that she gets the sliver and you get a bigger piece of cake. You succeed at switching plates but when the cards are turned over, your sister is holding the whole cake and you are holding an empty plate! No difficult sleights. Every card is examinable. You tell a story of how your dad used to make you play a game in order to have ice cream for dessert. But if you lost the game you had to have spinach. Start off with one ice cream card and two spinach cards. Then all three cards are spinach cards, and then all three cards are ice cream cards. The children guess too. But you lost seven times. Now you have to eat spinach every day of the week! But you get one more chance. You guess correctly and win a surprise dessert! No difficult sleights. Every card is examinable. Video demo below.

# 3 Trick or Treat - $15

Six cards are shown to have pictures of doors on both sides. These are placed on the table. A picture of a boy in his Halloween costume is shown. He knocks on each door, says trick or treat, and when the door is turned over there is a picture of candy! He does this 5 times, with the children helping, knocking on the doors and saying trick or treat. He collects a combination of candy and other funny objects, until the sixth door. He is timid about knocking on this door, for it is where the crazy old man lives. He knocks on the door and gets a big surprise! No difficult sleights. Every card is examinable. Video demo below.
