The Jumbo Inflatable Wand is an inexpensive gift parents can buy for their children as a memory of your show. Suggested price, $3.00 - $5.00. A nice display is made by inflating a giant pile of wands prior to the show. For faster sales, offer parents a choice of purchasing a pre-inflated wand or an uninflated wand which will fit into their pocket or purse (and are easier to sell. Let them blow it up! Inflating instructions are printed on every wand.).
Try which ever of these fits your character. 1. Its A Magic Wand! Simply use the Jumbo Inflatable Wand as a magic wand in a trick. Use it especially with a child volunteer. Then give it to the child as a gift for helping you with the trick. 2. Silly Routine Wave the uninflated wand back and forth and the children will tell you to blow it up. Inflate the wand and put the end under your left arm as you recap, We finally have a magic wand. Keeping the wand under your arm, grab the end with your RH, thumb below. Move your RH up and to the right as you twist your wrist and bend the end down. When the other end pops out from under your arm, it hits you under the chin. Replace the wand under your arm and repeat. Then replace the wand under your other arm, and repeat. Get fed up, so you try something else. Hold the wand vertically in front of your face. Pretend you cant see your audience. Push the top of the wand forward away from your face, bending it near the bottom and forming a right angle. Begin talking and release the wand so that it hits you square in the face! The kids will love this! Repeat as necessary. 3. Silly With a Child Volunteer When you have a child assistant helping with a trick have him wave the wand over a prop. Grab hold of his hand to help him wave the wand back and forth with each syllable, A - bra - ca - da - bra. On the final syllable, swing his wrist so the wand whacks you in the face. Repeat. After using your Jumbo Inflatable Wand in this trick, reward the child by letting him keep the wand. 4. Cut and Restored Wand Remember the old Cut and Restored Ribbon? Well you can do that same effect with the uninflated wand. Heres a brief description if you are not familiar. Take a 5x7 Kraft envelope. Cut slits in the ends and cut a secret panel out of the middle of the back. Slide uninflated wand into the envelope through the slits. Fold both in half and secretly pull the wand down so it is not near the fold of the envelope. Cut envelope at fold. Then show wand is restored. 5. Shoot the Wand As you would shoot a 260 or 350 balloon, insert your index finger into the closed end, hold in place with your other fingers, and release. Shoot the wand into the air as you hand it to your assistant. Or shoot the wand behind you as you place it under your arm. 6. Where Did It Go? Tape a magnet to the wand and have a magnet in your back pocket. You can tap the wand to the magnet and look for the wand while its behind you. |
